The size and physicality of Patterson makes him very hard to deal with off of the dribble. He is very comfortable with the ball in his hands and has showcased the ability to drive it either direction and finish consistently with both hands. When he gets going downhill it is very hard for opposing defenders to deal with him. Patterson put up huge numbers for Crispus Attucks High School at the Charlie Hughes Showcase in June and is poised to have one of the best statistical seasons of any freshman in the state.

. There were multiple 20230 prospects that had standout weekends and Patterson was certainly one of them. Got a chance to watch him vs Bedford North Lawrence on Sunday and right away was impressed with how physical of a player he is. Just super relentless when attacking the basket and is productive in multiple areas of the floor already.

Patterson is a dominant big man who combines size, strength, and physicality with an impressive level of skill. He uses his powerful frame to establish deep post position, control the boards, and protect the paint, but what sets him apart is his touch, footwork, and basketball IQ. Whether he’s finishing with finesse around the rim, making smart passes out of the post, or stepping out to hit a mid-range jumper, Patterson brings a complete package to the floor. His rare blend of power and polish makes him a true difference-maker in the paint.
