Wilkes is another front court riser who has really taken off with more opportunities this spring and summer. He’ll be at Mount Rainier this winter and has shown he can be a guy you play through in the post. A relentless competitor, Wilkes has the motor to be a factor in a lot of ways and his skills have been quickly catching up to that high energy.

One of the bigger risers over the spring and summer, Wilkes is a tough-minded post player who had another good showing at the event. Showed good patience out of high and low posts. Played well with his back to the basket as well as facing up. Displayed several moves from the blocks, utilized ball fakes, strength, and some extra efforts inside to finish plays.

Wilkes is a big, strong kid who works extremely hard. He generally takes good shots around the rim, doesn’t force up a ton, and has the mass to bump some pretty big defenders back to get space inside. He gets up and down the court, won’t lag behind plays, and is in on a ton of action around the hoop – contesting shots, fighting for boards, and covering space across the paint.
