Elijah’s game has really taken the next step on the court and it’s been awesome to see. His IQ has always been high but now he is a 3 level scorer who utilizes his height and length to his advantage in the paint and when rising above defenders to get his shot off in the mid-range level. Defensively, he is quick on his feet and knows how to get his hands in the passing lanes to disrupt the opposing team.

Buol’s leap from limited minutes last season to starting in a key role, and being named Co-MVP in his junior year, has been pretty impressive. The lengthy, athletic guard has shown some legit improvement handling the rock and shooting the three, but he’s also developed good shot selection and decision-making that’s made him one of Olympia’s more reliable scoring options.

Buol is another big improver from the early part of the winter season who has caught our eye. He’s jumped into Olympia’s starting five and made a big impact with his length, athleticism, and aggressive play. He’s shown an improved handle and change of speeds to get to his spots and be a factor finishing at the rim, while also improving his jumpshot and being able to score from more spots.

Elijah is an emerging prospect in the 2027 class, utilizing his impressive length to finish effectively around the rim and dominate defensively with shot-blocking prowess. His ability to thrive in transition, coupled with his knack for finishing through contact, makes him a dynamic threat on fast breaks. On the defensive end, Elijah’s timing and reach allow him to alter shots and protect the paint with authority. As he continues to develop, his versatile impact on both ends of the court marks him as a rising star to watch this season.

Buol has some real length for a guard, and it shows up in his big crossovers and ability to shake by defenders to the rim. He’s also been a threat to hit in the midrange this summer, thanks in part to that length and ability to play on balance. He’ll be a kid to watch at Olympia who can make an impact on both ends with his size and athleticism.

Defensively, he injects energy and leverages his length to disrupt passing lanes effectively. He’s an athletic guard with some big length who con cover a lot of ground with the ball and on the defensive end. Looks very comfortable defending on the ball, has pretty quick feet and that long wingspan can give ballhandlers fits. Likes to attack the paint but has been improving the outside shot and could be in line for a lot more minutes this winter.

Buol’s got some nice slashing ability and pairs it well with his ability to knock down shots in the midrange. He’s aggressive looking to split defenders, attack gaps, and often succeeds with a quick initial burst and some good footwork. He’s capable of finishing in multiple ways, stretching around contests, mixing up timing of shots, and keeping defenders off-kilter with good balance and body control.
