Cook is a high IQ basketball player, which is not a big surprise since his father, Scott Cook, is the head coach at New Berlin West. Look for Rhys to contribute at the varsity level this winter alongside his older brother, talented senior guard Jayce Cook Jayce Cook 6'2" | SG New Berlin West | 2027 State WI . Rhys makes quick decisions as a 6-foot-0 backcourt ace and he can score from all three levels.

Rhys is so poised on the ball, and never looked sped up across the two games I watched. No matter what the defense threw at him, Cook stayed under control and played at his own pace. Throughout the day he just found ways to get into the lane, where he could make plays off two feet as a finisher or facilitator. Really soft floater to score over the top of length in the lane. Rhys almost makes things look effortless at times as he just weaves through the defense on his way to the rim.

The younger brother of current New Berlin West senior standout Jayce Cook Jayce Cook 6'2" | SG New Berlin West | 2027 State WI and son of Vikings’ head coach Scott Cook,, Rhys Cook Rhys Cook 6'0" | CG New Berlin West | 2030 WI obviously comes from a basketball family. Rhys is a strong player physically who uses his body well to score and get to the foul line. Cook can score at all three levels and was the top scorer on the 24:UP JrP32 team this past club season.
