Preston Tyler Preston Tyler 6'5" | SF/PF Woodbury | 2029 State MN is a six-foot-five-inch 2029 Woodbury forward that missed all of last season due to a knee injury. Tyler however impressed all day at the Sophomore ID Camp with his lateral movement, quickness getting up and down court, and he looked strong in the front-court physically. Tyler looked comfortable screening and rolling, and one play made sure to seal the defender to receive the ball and then made a quick pivoting lay-up score.

Start to finish, Preston Tyler Preston Tyler 6'5" | SF/PF Woodbury | 2029 State MN had a case for being the event MVP. Tyler, who missed all of last year, was outstanding in both three on three and the five on five games. Tyler is a strong and skilled 6’5 who hit jumpers, scored tough inside, and created separation to score as well. Preston has a chance to be a high scorer for his team and a high percentage shooter. I was stunned at how good Tyler was coming off of injury

Preston has good size for a wing or forward, using his length to work inside, grabbing several rebounds on both sides of the ball. He impressed me with an assist to a cutting teammate inside. He capped off a couple finishes around the basket, and looked very comfortable handling the ball on the perimeter. Tyler is a well rounded player who turned in a solid performance at this year’s Freshman Showcase.

Preston simply goes out and plays hard on both ends of the floor. The 6’3 forward out of Woodbury was able to contribute to his team simply by sprinting the floor, cutting hard off the ball, and putting himself into position to contest everything around the basket. With his agile 6’3 frame he was faster than most guys his size, which allowed him to create open looks with his effort off the ball. Defensively he could slide his feet out on the perimeter, and did a nice job of using his long arms to not give up any easy looks around the basket.

#222 Preston Tyler a six-foot-two-inch forward from Woodbury showcased some instincts around the rim blocking a shot and rebounding. Tyler gave off a natural instinct to grab the ball and go which should further his ability as a ball handler. Tyler needs to work on finishing at the rim.
