His team took a tough loss to close the summer but Sherman nonetheless stood out with his well-rounded skillset up front. Sherman impressed as a faceup threat, showing soft hands and touch operating from the rim out to the midrange. He finished inside efficiently through traffic using either hand, showing a deft set of post moves to utilize against smaller defenders. Sherman plays strong, using his wide frame to his advantage, but isn’t the quickest and could struggle defending the rim or moving laterally on the perimeter at the scholarship level. Nonetheless he projects as a coveted small-college piece with his size and offensive versatility, and should be heard from at the varsity level as an upperclassman.
