One of the top shooters in New York, Proudfoot is coming off a high school season where he was named BCANY Class AAA player of the year for Corning. Proudfoot doesn’t need much time or space to be able to fire away from way downtown and he hit some ridiculous shots from the top of the key on Saturday morning. With his shooting ability, the defense tries to run Proudfoot off the line whenever possible which allows him to create an advantage against hard closeouts. Proudfoot showed the ability to make an extra pass after being ran off the line to continue to swing the ball for his team. Talented 2028 shooter for schools to monitor.

He can flat-out shoot it, requiring minimal space to get his jumper off. At the Pangos Camp, he showcased his effectiveness in transition, and with limited defensive preparation, he fully capitalized on his shooting prowess.

There may not have been a guard in the gym who was as consistently productive as Proudfoot, as the upstate product displayed his prolific shotmaking and stone-cold toughness from start to finish. A contender for camp MVP, Proudfoot rained in jumpers from all over the floor with unwavering confidence to pull up in the tightest of spaces. He continues to make strides with his ability to get to spots as a ballhandler, giving him upside for higher levels as he remains a tad undersized for a pure scoring guard. Proudfoot is building a strong track record of production at increasingly high levels of competition, with D1 programs having already begun to take note.

There’s no other way to explain Proudfoot’s scoring ability than cold-blooded. His skillset is based off fundamentals and give his strong frame and base that he taps into, the 6-foot-1 lead guard doesn’t have issues getting to his spots without having to use a ton of flash. Going against longer, more athletic defenders at a camp like this allowed his fundamentals to shine even brighter with the use of jabs, shot fakes, and change-of-pace dribbles to draw contact and force the ref’s whistle.
