has done for this First Flight team this season has been nothing short of sensational and it’s why he’s risen from 155 all the way up to 52. Johnson’s a big and strong PG with bad intentions when getting downhill. He’s a dynamic playmaker for this team at both ends of the floor and is really the engine that makes them go in so many ways. Johnson is a real triple double threat every time he steps out there as he uses his ability to grab rebounds and push the ball to get First Flight easy offense with their fast pace of play. Johnson has a chance to really take First Flight on a deep run as the playoffs are here, that will only further cement his status as a bonafide top 60 guy in the state. He’s ranked amongst the group that I think project similarly to him at the next level, he’s earned it with his play this season.

Johnson is my vote from Most Improved Player in North Carolina for the 25-26 season up to this point and his performance at Good Guys vs Cancer showed everyone why. There isn’t a week in the season for First Flight where the lights are brighter and Johnson delivered a signature performance on Saturday night while being a truly steady presence for his team all week long. Johnson finished with 25 Points, 13 Rebounds, and 10 Assists in the win for First Flight over Living Water Christian. Johnson’s ability to get downhill, dominate the glass for a guard, and just instill toughness in his teammates make him incredibly valuable for Chad Williams and First Flight. The system allows Johnson to push the pace at all times and make plays getting to the basket where he’s unstoppable without a lot of help. Expect Johnson and First Flight to go on a deep run in the 4A East and continue to pick up steam in recruiting.

Johnson will see his ranking flat out skyrocket with the next update and Friday’s performance vs Wayne Country Day proved that he can play at an elite level vs scholarship level competition. Johnson is always getting downhill, comfortable spinning to either side and finishing with either hand. He has the outside touch to keep the defense honest, and is a constant above the rim threat with his athleticism. This will not be the last we see from him this season and he looks to be the engine that makes First Flight go.

. Johnson stands about 6’2 with wide shoulders, solid athleticism, and an uncanny ability to get to the rim and finish with relative ease. In the semi-final game against Laney, he hit a move went baseline, and threw down a nice two hand dunk.

is an interesting guard prospect to get to know out of First Flight High. He’s shown he’s capable of knocking down shots on the perimeter but his most underrated asset might be his strength and athleticism. He’s shown he can fly around and make things happen at the rim on both ends of the floor just as well as be a presence offensively as he checks in at No. 76 in the latest rankings update.

Johnson is a prospect who hails from the Outer Banks area at First Flight High but still made the trip out to Cox Mill High for this year’s showcase. He’s got a solid frame already at 6-foot that he utilized well on both ends of the floor to make an impact on Team 10. He showed confidence and an impressive shooting stroke on the perimeter, a staple of most First Flight prospects, while also showing a willingness to keep others involved and doing other things. He showed he could fly around for rebounds and alter shots around the painted area. He showed he could defend a few different positions on the floor. He’s another 2026 name in the class who made his mark at this year’s showcase.
