White is always one of my favorite players to watch. He plays extremely hard, regardless of the setting or score, and does a little bit of everything on the floor. Nicholas can knock down shots off the catch, handle the ball and make decisions, and takes pride in the defensive end of the floor. He made a few impressive plays on defense because of his energy and athleticism, turning them into points on the other end of the floor with transition buckets. Keep an eye on White to have a big senior year for the Gamecocks.

Nicholas White Nicholas White 6'1" | CG Sumter | 2027 State SC is the biggest stock riser in this edition of the Prep Hoops SC 2027 Rankings, moving up 57 spots from #153 to #96. Although it is easy to see some of the on-the-court improvements from White, Sumter Head Coach Bryan Brown says the biggest step that Nicholas has made is in the weight room.

Nicholas is due for a big jump up in the Prep Hoops SC 2027 Rankings. He caught my eye with the Gamecocks in the Glymph Fall League, and was a Junior who made some noise in the season opener this week. White’s two made threes came in the first half, one on the opening possession of the game and the other at the halftime buzzer. He seems to make momentum-grabbing plays for his team often because he will put his body on the line to draw a charge and will give up the ball in transition to get a teammate going. Nicholas finished with 16 points, 4 assists, and 3 steals in a win over Orangeburg-Wilkinson.

Nicholas White Nicholas White 6'1" | CG Sumter | 2027 State SC had an eye-opening performance this week at the Glymph League. He was one of the best players on the floor, frequently making important plays on both ends of the floor for the Gamecocks. White had active hands on the ball that forced turnovers and allowed him and his teammates to get easy looks in transition. Nicholas also had a few terrific moments as a passer, which will be important for Sumter, considering some of the talent around him.
