Peyton and the Timberwolves matched up with Williams and the Ragin’ Bulls on day one, and Jennings was a bright spot in the loss. He put up 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists, scoring or assisting on over half of his team’s points. With the South Carolina Class of 2027 Rankings set to update on Monday, it was good to see Peyton back in this setting after a strong spring with CPB, despite the loss today. His downhill driving ability, strength through contact, and playmaking ability were all on display, and he will certainly see his stock rise next week.

Another 2027 on the rise is Jennings. Peyton has a strong frame, which he uses to drive to the rim, play through contact, help on the glass, and guard taller players defensively. When his jumper is falling, like it was at times in Rock Hill, Jennings is definitely a wing worth monitoring for college coaches.

Jennings was a bright spot for the Timberwolves in the second half, scoring 11 of their 19 points over the final two quarters. He has been a constant this season for White Knoll, and tonight he was at his best when getting a defender one-on-one and taking them to the basket. But he also mixed in some efficient jump-shot making with a catch-and-shoot three and a mid-range pull-up. Not only is Peyton counted on to carry a big load offensively, but he is also a crucial defensive piece because he is one of the tallest players on their roster and has good instincts on the glass as well as in passing lanes.

Jennings had a very productive game in the matchup with Ben Lippen, racking up 16 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. He picked up the Falcons’ top scorer – one of the best in the state – and did a really good job on him with his length and mobility. Peyton also played a variety of roles on the offensive end including middle-man against a zone, dunker-spot, and wing playmaker. Jennings excelled at all three as he made plays off the bounce, knocked down two threes, and converted on a pair of turn-around jumpers.
