Colby Giacubeno | Prep Hoops Scout
Magruder finished the season with a loss in the 3A state title game to a surging South River group, but nevertheless, the Colonels put together a 24-3 showing and Wilson emerged as one of the underclassmen to carve out a valuable role in the backcourt. He ranked third on the team at 9.6 points per game, but led with 4.2 assists. His ability to pick-and-choose his spots within the flow to attack driving lanes, make the extra pass to shooters spotting up in the corner or advancing the ball ahead in transition for scores all led me to believe that Magruder has another point guard in the stable to continue their success for years to come.

Nate is a quick shifty guard that will constantly put pressure on the defense with his ability to get to his spots off the dribble. He showed the ability to attack downhill with nice pace and drew fouls at a high rate. Nate also showed he could stretch the floor as the off-guard and spot up for 3’s along the entire perimeter. He displayed solid vision, finding open teammates after collapsing the defense. His combination of speed, shot-making, and playmaking made him a tough cover throughout the playoffs.
