Burt was one of the most active players I saw in attendance from start to finish. It seemed like whenever a 50/50 ball presented itself, whenever someone was getting a deflection or if there was an opportunity to crash the offensive glass, the junior guard/wing was in the mix. He made several timely cuts that resulted in layups, kept his defender honest by converting on a handful of three’s throughout his games and brought infectious energy that demanded others playing alongside him to match.

Alan showed as a confident perimeter scorer that made a major impact with his shooting throughout the playoffs. He knocked down key shots in big moments, helping Magruder reach the state championship game. Alan proved to be a reliable three-point shooter who could make shots with or without a contest. When locked in, he showed the ability to score from multiple spots on the floor no matter the defender. He also contributed on the glass from the wing and played with consistent energy on both ends. Proved to be a valuable piece in Magruder’s deep postseason run.
