Expert Analysis
Robbie Hodin | Prep Hoops Scout
Rodriguez is a big-body wing who looks like he has the physical tools to play college hoops right now. The 6-foot-6 senior is a good outside shooter but also handles the ball well off the bounce, especially for his size. Most impressive was his passing, though; he sees the floor incredibly well and uses his height to make passes over the defense. He has pretty excellent vision for his archetype of player – a big, scoring wing. Rodriguez should step right into potential playing time next year for Fairfield.

was the other Fairfield commit who dominated on the court. An unstoppable bowling ball toward the basket, he was getting rim touches with ease and taking on contact with ferocity every time. This resulted in him getting to the line and forcing defenses to foul him with his constant pressuring drives. He became even more impossible to stop when he started lighting it up from the three-point line off the catch, and he ended up leading Northfield Mount Hermon in points during his game. I was also impressed with his decision-making with the ball and on-ball defensive intensity which resulted in some steals as well.

Margarin is a skilled wing with an impressive blend of size and strength that makes him a versatile threat on both ends of the court. He leverages his physical attributes to create mismatches against smaller defenders, using his body effectively to score inside or on drives. Fundamentally sound, Margarin shows a strong understanding of the game, with a solid shooting form and disciplined footwork on defense.

Rodriguez was the best all around player on the court today. He can play both on and off the ball and has an excellent feel for when to attack closeouts and when to shoot. Cerebral player who can score from all three levels and defend multiple positions. Rodriguez recently committed to Columbia University.
