Chapman is one of the most interesting prospects in the state. I was curious as to how he would perform against this type of competition. I don’t know if I’ll put him on the AA breakout candidate article but I do think he has a chance to do something for Sioux Falls Jefferson next season. He’s 6’5” and he has crazy-long arms in comparison to everything else. Looks like arms of that of a 6’10”-7’0” prospect, and that may not be an exaggeration. He’s got shot-making ability from three from a catch-and-shoot and standstill position.
Chapman has all the physical tools and length to his frame to be a difference-maker, but he’s still missing something and hasn’t put everything together quite yet. His physicality and playing strength need improvement. I would like to see him play with more on of an edge and get meaner on the court.

Mercer didn’t play varsity for Sioux Falls Jefferson, but he holds some upside, in my opinion. Super long and skilled. He will eventually need to get on the rankings board, but I want to see him in a couple tournaments first.

Mercer is incredibly lengthy, and even though he wasn’t a varsity guy, he has next-level long term potential. Elite length to go along with skill upside, makes for him to be an interesting prospect to monitor this offseason. He’s only going up.

Chapman is a starting wing/4 on Jefferson’s JV team. He doesn’t quite have the physicality yet to be a varsity difference-maker. But he’s super lengthy and can run and jump. I think he has upside and a college program could bring him on to develop him quickly and see what happens. Chapman is currently on the watchlist until I see more and can comfortably rank him.

Mercer was one that stood out before the games began. An athletic and long wing at 6’5”. He’s a transfer from Douglas to his new school, AA Sioux Falls Jefferson. A lanky build that college programs would love to get into their strength & conditioning program for development. He has a skilled and smooth game as well. I thought he was active on the court on both ends and got into the mess by the hoop and competed. Crashed the O-boards, looking for put-backs at the hoop. His role will be interesting from the get-go, because Jefferson has talent on the perimeter. But Chapman screams next-level upside. Just needs to get stronger and tighten up his skills when he sees defensive resistance.
