I haven’t seen Kuai ever play this well. He benefited from Kuek Kuek being sidelined from the tournament with a hand injury. Mayen looked fast and explosive attacking the rim. He was set on being an offensive threat.

Kuai was a big reason why South Dakota Elite got back into the game in the second half. The 6’1 guard showcased an explosive first step, able to jab step one way before blowing by his defender in the opposite direction. His athleticism allowed him to just hang in the air and find ways to finish over the top of defenders. Flashed some range beyond the arc as well. One of a handful of talented players on this South Dakota Elite roster.

This baller played so hard, he had to come out of games because he was getting after it with such fire that he was physically exhausted and needed a break. The SD Elite team fed off his effort and energy. Kuai can jump out of the gym. This led to him being a productive rebounder and he got after loose balls. He is active without the ball, I like how he cuts and spaces with a purpose. Mayen plays hard on both ends.
