plays with constant energy on every play. On offense, he consistently moves around, trying to get open. He uses this asset to help him shoot the ball with confidence. Wicks-Wesley’s range is deadly, which can be a bad matchup for zone defenses. On defense, he’s definitely someone I would not want to be matched up with. His timely jump on the ball against ball handlers makes them pass almost immediately. It can be hard to teach effort, and this 5’10 point guard gives 110 percent.

MWW’s production made am impression on me. Every game he seemed to make a shot, or finish in transition, showing good competitive spirit regardless of the score. His play during the Desert Reign Summer League showed why 3A champ Losee may have the depth to repeat at 4A.

MWW has been good during the entire league. He has an it factor about him which allows him to hunt and make big shots, despite not being a 1st or 2nd option. He’s willing to defend, showing that he can be effective on ball. Overall he looks like he’ll add more perimeter depth for the defending 3A champs.

MWW played with good aggession on both sides of the ball. He got my attention with his ability to slash to the lane and finish. On the defensive side, he reaked havoc in the Lions pressure defense system. He was effective on the top of the press as well as hounding ballhandlers in half court sets.
