BJ Jolly comes in at No. 2 in our initial 2030 rankings and possesses many of the physical tools you look for in an up and coming prospect. Already standing around 6’4, he has a solid frame to go along with impressive offensive instincts. He is crafty with the ball in his hands and knows how to maneuver around defenders to create scoring opportunities. He can get the job done in the paint or step outside and knock down shots from three-point range. Jolly is also an effective rebounder who puts in work on defensive, where he can frustrate opponents with his length and strength. By the looks of it, he should have an opportunity to earn some playing time with the Legacy Lions, who figure to be among the top contenders in 4A this season. I anticipate that Jolly will make his presence felt right from the jump.

BJ Jolly leaked out and scored a few easy buckets for his squad, using his long strides to accelerate all the way to the hoop as opponents closed in on him. He also showed some touch with his jumper, and I was a fan of the way he got back on defense. Considering he was likely the youngest player at the camp, I thought he hung right with the upperclassmen and performed quite well.

BJ Jolly is certainly one of the top incoming freshman, and he’ll be a rotational player for the Losee Lions from the get go. He can score in a variety of ways, and uses his IQ + patience to get his shot off in the paint. He’s also a capable 3-point shooter and a willing passer. On the defensive end, Jolly contests shots frequently and he knows to throw it ahead after securing a turnover. Overall, there’s a lot to like and he’ll be an entertaining player to track this fall/winter and beyond.

BJ Jolly is a built 6’1 guard who utilizes his size to his advantage on both ends. On offense, he will power through defenders to get to the rack, and gets to the free when he draws contact. He’ll also facilitate for others if they have the better look. On defense, he can help cause turnovers by making deflections and he crashes the glass.
