In addition to big-time live period events like Section 7, several schools host Summer Leagues as a way to both raise money and get an early evaluation of their team. Several players use the leagues as a way to put themselves on the recruiting and rankings radar. Here’s a look at some 2025s that used the Summer Leagues to make great first impressions.
Saw Walker during the Green Valley Christian Summer League. His superpower is his rebounding ability as he uses a relentless motor and brute strength to pursue the pumpkin.
MWW’s production made am impression on me. Every game he seemed to make a shot, or finish in transition, showing good competitive spirit regardless of the score. His play during the Desert Reign Summer League showed why 3A champ Losee may have the depth to repeat at 4A.
I only saw Udom once but he was very intriguing. The bouncy wing has the opportunity to be one of the more athletic players in 4A. He displayed his R&J ability for Shadow during the Desert Reign Summer League.
Saw a ton of Brigance during the Spring and Summer months. He impressed me with his combination of size and skill. The wing displayed the ability to get downhill and score. He played with strength during the GV Christian League, overpowering players for buckets.
Robinson is a physical big who imposed his will during the Desert Reign Summer League. In addition to the inside damage he did, he displayed some skill, knocking down several high arching threes during the League.
It was a lot of fun watching Bruce play. I am a firm believer that you are what you repeatedly do, and Bruce repeatedly flashes high level passing ability. The PG put together some nice scoring games during the Desert Reign Pro League, however it was ultimately his playmaking ability that made an impression.
