Interesting match up problem, because his big frame allows him to attack smaller guards in the high post and at the rim. Has the shooting touch to fade away and work well in the mid-range too. Promising start to the year for a player who can find ways to score all over the court.

Fresh off a productive freshman campaign and grassroots season, the 918 standout showed that he’s one of the quality shooters in his grade. Looks strong as a catch and shoot weapon. While also capable of rising up and being unbothered by contesting defenders while shooting off the dribble. Good foundation as a shooter and feel, will be interesting to see how the rest of his game develops.

Matthew is a post centric, stretch big man that can give you a variety of looks on offense. A great three-point shooter that has range and a deep bag of shooting skills. He can be a catch and shoot player, but just as well likes to get to the step back and create space. He plays well out of the dribble hand off and screen and roll/pop. He is deceptive as a passer with plenty of moves at his disposal to get rid of the ball. He excels at playing from the inside, out. He can be a back to the basket threat with good drop steps and up and under moves. He uses two feet in the lane to keep plays moving and get shots up after contact. He displays good IQ on defense, good at splitting the lane and recovering to bigs. He had scoring games of 15, 21, 22, and 28. He made 17 threes over 4 games and averaged nearly 5 rebounds.
