Smith caught the attention of the scouting world with a 26-point performance that included 6 made 3-pointers before averaging 20 points per game at a Recruit Look Live Period event in Nashville. He opened the summer on a tear as well, averaging 22 points per game despite missing a quarter of one contest, including a standout 37-point performance.

Smith is the definition of what you want from a shooting guard. Standing at 6’4 with a strong, lengthy frame, he has the physical tools to create his own offense and consistently find ways to get the shot he wants. His scoring production, perimeter shooting, and ability to create buckets make him a difficult matchup. With his continued rise this summer, Smith has established himself as a 2028 prospect worth keeping a close eye on.

Smith ended his sophomore high school with momentum with a 25 point game in Regionals. It served as a spring board for the long armed guard, as he produced throughout the spring with his AAU program. Was a consistent multiple three pointers per game producer at VCS. Then with Texhoma continued hitting from the mid-range and deep, with flashes of what he can become off the bounce. The Conquerors have a promising sophomore class, and Smith could be a big part of helping them turn back into State Tournament regulars.

Smith had a breakout performance this week at the St. Louis Showcase. The sophomore scored 37 points on just 25 shots in a win over SW Illinois Jets. The 6’4″ guard showcased his size and length, using both to his advantage when scoring from both inside the paint and outside of the arc. Silas handled the ball well and showed that he can takeover a game playing both on or off the ball. Smith is also an aggressive rebounder that plays with a ton of effort to corral loose balls. His five 3-point makes against the Jets were equally as impressive as he caught fire with some long range shots well beyond the 3-point line. Silas finished the St. Louis Showcase averaging 22.2 points per game.
