Loera played consistently well this past weekend for Southern Assault Texoma. His 16U squad was able to put together some solid performances at the St. Louis Showcase. Loera led the team in rebounding, averaging 7.5 rebounds per contest. Loera works hard for position and understands where to be based on trajectories of missed shots. On the offensive end of the floor, he shows good skill and control under the basket. Dominyc plays under control and shows solid touch around the rim. Loera complimented Smith well, providing 10 points per game to finish as his teams second leading scorer.

Must be something in the water in the 918, because there’s a deep bench of interesting forward prospects. Who are just now scratching the surface of their potential. Loera did earn some early run with 4A Victory Christian. Hudl highlights show a long arm forward, with some solid instincts when it comes to rotating over and swatting shots. Never know when kids will stop/keep growing up, and in a year’s time Loera could be a game changing rim protecter if adds additional height to his promising base. As is, he still should be line for a very productive high school career.
