Mason Aquiline Mason Aquiline 5'10" | SG Central Catholic | 2027 PA is a 2027 guard that I think is going to surprise a lot of people. He has continued to develop over the summer and I think he will be the leader on the court for the Vikings next season. The Central Catholic guard has spent time in a role-player spot behind a strong Vikings backcourt, but he will see a larger role as opportunity comes his way this high school season. He is a legit knock-down shooting threat, especially with his feet set. That said, he is comfortable putting the ball on the floor to create his own opportunities as well. Aquiline is the type of player he really understands the game. He makes smart decisions, and shows passing vision. He works well in transition and in the open court without forcing the action. During AAU play, you could tell he was working on his game by attacking the basket more.

Aquiline was a threat to knock down shots from beyond the arc and consistently kept the defense honest with his perimeter shooting. Defensively, he was active in the passing lanes, using his anticipation to come up with steals and generate extra possessions. He also found ways to score inside the arc, attacking gaps in the defense and finishing around the basket when opportunities presented themselves. His ability to impact the game as a scorer at multiple levels added to his overall effectiveness.
