WLU Team Camp Pennsylvania Standout Prospects Part 1

Few prospects from the Keystone state who had productive outings in the Mountain state at West Liberty Team Camp.    Liked the offensive spark that Gilmore brought to the floor. He has a knack for making loud scoring plays and finding ways to impact the game as a scorer. He connected on his first few shots, and it was evident early on that he had found a rhythm. Whenever the ball was in his hands, he was a threat to put points on the board. He used his low center of gravity to evade defenders, get downhill, and penetrate into the paint. Gilmore showed flashes of playmaking and the ability to get teammates involved, but at the collegiate level, he projects more as a secondary ball-handler in a multi-guard lineup. His scoring instincts and ability to create offense should draw attention from Division two programs, and he is a prospect that could see his recruitment pick up over the coming weeks.     Pickett did a little bit of everything for his Vikings squad. He showed the ability to score the basketball while also creating offensive opportunities for his teammates. He was active on the glass and consistently found ways to extend possessions, converting on second-chance scoring opportunities. His activity level and willingness to impact multiple facets of the game stood out throughout his performance.     Aquiline was a threat to knock down shots from beyond the arc and consistently kept the defense honest with his perimeter shooting. Defensively, he was active in the passing lanes, using his anticipation to come up with steals and generate extra possessions. He also found ways to score inside the arc, attacking gaps in the defense and finishing around the basket when opportunities presented themselves. His ability to impact the game as a scorer at multiple levels added to his overall effectiveness.     Craig ran the show and did a nice job of consistently getting downhill and into the paint, where he drew the defense in and created scoring opportunities for his teammates. He played with good pace and control, showing an ability to manipulate defenders before finding open looks for others. Craig also showed he can score the basketball himself, taking advantage of opportunities when they were there and converting at different levels. He also earned trips to the foul line as a result of his aggressiveness. Overall, Craig looks like a prospect who should be firmly on the radar for small college programs with his ability to run an offense and impact the game as both a scorer and facilitator.     McMurray provided valuable scoring depth and did a good job of taking advantage of what the defense gave him throughout the game. He was effective in the mid-range area, knocking down jumpers and keeping the defense honest. In addition to his scoring, he contributed on the defensive end with several rebounds and blocks, showing his willingness to impact the game in multiple ways. He also displayed good court awareness, finding teammates for scoring opportunities when help defenders collapsed. With his versatile skill set and ability to contribute on both ends of the floor, McMurray should draw significant interest from programs in the PAC and AMCC over the course of his recruitment.
