An ankle injury wiped out Bauman’s scrimmage season. Leading to the intriguing wing-forward prospect to have flashes but overall a slow start for the Timberwolves. Perhaps clutch plays in the rivalry contest will be the catalyst to jump start his senior season.
It was a late triple by Bauman that tied up the game and sent it to overtime. In the extra possession, he made the type of athletic, hustle play that should help endear him to college coaches. He crashed the glass and got a huge tip in that cut the deficit to one. There was more of that energy on Friday night, the same energy that made him a high flying prospect this past summer. Mix in some more toughness around the rim, and the signs are there for Bauman to finish his senior season strong and be a very interesting option to colleges.

is coming into his senior season following a consistently productive club season with
Next Level Oklahoma
. He is a very versatile offensive weapon who annihilated defenses from all three levels. He plays with a great motor and outworked opponents regularly while fighting for rebounds. Throughout this summer, his jumper made noticeable improvements and appears to be ready for his final push up rankings over the course of his senior season.

stood out this weekend as debatably the most impactful player on the best team at this tournament. Luke has a great feel for the game and seemed to never get sped up. He attacked rebounds consistently and was able to grab-and-go or throw outlet passes quickly. As a physical four, Luke established himself on the inside before stretching the floor for open looks from three. He was hot from deep throughout the weekend and rarely even hit the rim when shooting from deep. He has great range and is a threat from anywhere. His willingness to stay moving off-ball is very promising for a potential college player. Luke also ran well in transition which led to several easy points including finishing an off-the-backboard alley-oop with a big two-handed slam.

One of the most improved players in Oklahoma this summer has been Bauman. He’s thrived in the more up and down pace of Grassroots basketball. Getting loose for dunks in transition, swatting shots and drilling triples. This weekend was no different, and he was even the one who got it rolling for early on with a classic “do everything” stretch for Next Level in the title game.
It’s a broken record at this point with write ups, but Bauman continues to trend to being a valuable “3 and D” prospect. He’ll need to continue to work on his foot speed and defensive feel on perimeter players, but if the late bloomer continues to play with confidence he’ll be one of the more undervalued recruits in Oklahoma.

One of the more improved players of this spring has been Bauman. He’s turned into a consistent floor spacing weapon for Next Level, while also rocking the rim with powerful dunks in transition. He’s strongly built, giving him the ability to mix it up with posts and battle on the glass. While also having the nimbleness to operate on the perimeter. Good fit for modern basketball with the versatility to his game. Perfect addition for regional four year programs as a player who would make them better in practice early on and mature into a contributor as an upperclassman.

More of a combo forward, Buaman mixed battling on the glass and finishing with good overall defensive awareness. Giving him a Swiss Army Knife type feel for his Next Level Swarm squad. He’s an active and aware helpside defender, with the ability to switch onto guards some as well. The Norman North Timberwolf is a quality glue guy, who raises his squad’s floor.
