About Lorena

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

my gameplay style is someone who is always looking to score and set my teammates up for success whether that's through pitching it ahead of post entry passes. I am a lanky hooper that can knock down shots from the mid-range and perimeter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very competitive person who doesn't like to lose. When I'm not great at something I put my heart into it and work at it every day until I exceed my expectations. I love to make the people around me happy by either making them laugh or just being a good example.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

my middle school didn't have any clubs or non-sport organizations for me to do but I have received some awards for my leadership and acts of kindness like helping people with schoolwork.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Basketball has taught me so much about life already, it has also helped me become a better leader on and off the court. Through the years I have learned more and more about teamwork and how heart and teamwork can make or break a team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have faced many challenges and one of them that I am going through right now is my grandma has cancer. I am very close with my family; I can count how many games my grandparents have missed on one hand. It's hard seeing her like this, but she is a tough lady and I know she will make it through strong.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college where I can have a significant role where I fit in with the players and coaching staff. A college that has a great business school would be amazing.
