Andrew Ward Andrew Ward 6'2" | SF Holy Family | 2027 State CO has been a vital multi-dimensional threat for Holy Family during the 2025-2026 season, helping lead the Tigers to a deep Class 4A state tournament run. As a 6’3″ junior shooting guard, Ward finished the season as the team’s third-leading scorer, averaging 9.8 points per game while maintaining a highly efficient 49% field goal percentage. His perimeter shooting was a major asset for the Tigers’ spacing, as he knocked down 35 triples on the year at a 40% clip from beyond the arc. Ward’s impact extends well beyond just scoring; he proved to be a reliable presence in the paint and on the defensive end, contributing 3.5 rebounds and 0.4 blocks per contest. His ability to perform in high-pressure postseason moments—highlighted by double-digit scoring efforts in the state tournament against Peak to Peak and The Classical Academy—solidifies his status as one of the most consistent and versatile wing prospects in the Granite Peaks League.

Ward made quite the jump from sophomore to junior season and this 6’2 athlete has been a big reason why Holy Family looks like a dark horse contender. Ward is in the middle if his best stretch of his high school career. He looks confident with the ball in his hands, he’s making quick and decisive decisions, shooting lights out, and finishing right now. Teams are keying in on him, and that is not slowing him down. He’s also impacting the game in different ways. He’s rebounding and using his length, he’s keeping the ball moving with cuts and attacking mismatches. He’s a glue guy who at times looks like the team’s go-to guy. That’s how you fit in while standing out!

Holy Family is 10-0 on the year and is getting the most out of their squad right now. They play with chemistry and the right way, and their style is contagious. One of their prospects who has stepped up is junior shooting guard, Andrew Ward Andrew Ward 6'2" | SF Holy Family | 2027 State CO . Ward is an off-ball worker who has found a way to score. He’s constantly moving, shoots the 3-ball, and gets out and running in transition. He’s been a consistent scorer who rebounds hard, which allows second-chance opportunities and allows the team to get out and run. He’s a versatile player who makes it easier for teammates and is the team’s X-factor.

Ward will be a key to Holy Family’s success because of his ability to consistently impact the game offensively. His three point range forces defenses to extend, creating space for teammates and opening up the floor. Ward is efficient getting to his spots, showing patience and confidence in shot selection rather than forcing plays. He understands spacing, moves well without the ball and capitalizes on defensive breakdowns. When Ward is in rhythm the offense flows at a higher level. His scoring presence and reliability make him a matchup problem and a crucial piece in the team’s ability to control tempo and close games

Ward earned his spot in the rankings after a summer that highlighted his elite shooting and offensive versatility. From beyond the arc he’s automatic, catching and shooting with lightning speed that forces defenders to react instantly. His quick pump fakes allow him to get defenders in the air, creating space to drive inside and pull up for mid range jumpers with ease. That combination of shooting efficiency, quick decision making and the ability to score in multiple ways makes Ward a constant threat on the floor. His polished offensive game and confidence this summer solidified him in his class

Ward put together an impressive summer with the Colorado Titans proving himself as one of the most reliable offensive threats on the court. From beyond the arc he was locked in, and his smooth effortless stroke making him nearly automatic once he found his rhythm. Game after game he played with great consistency, showing he could spot up for the catch and shoot three or pull up in stride to drain shots. His ability to stay hot and deliver in any setting made him a standout performer throughout the summer. The combine will be the perfect stage to see his shooting translate against top level competition.

Andrew Ward Andrew Ward 6'2" | SF Holy Family | 2027 State CO is starting to unlock his game, and it’s fun to watch. A 6’2 guard who’s tough with the ball, he attacks the paint, finishes through contact, or finds the open man when the defense collapses. He’s a strong on-ball defender who applies full-court pressure and makes opposing guards uncomfortable. With his mix of grit and versatility, he’s ready to be a difference-maker and he’s definitely earned his jump into the rankings.

This was an early impact type of player for his club, where he led his team in scoring during the first half of the game. His play was more than that, though. He was a type of Swiss Army knife of a prospect for this game. The first note I wrote down was, “great cut to the hoop for a solid finish and bucket”. Then, I thought that he showed he was a good athlete by being able to compete with anyone on the court. He had a handful of drive & dishes, so the ball IQ box was checked. Then he started doing those effort items like the weak side rebounds for easy put back buckets or he picked up 3/4 court with good fundamentals and hard play on defense. I was impressed with him from the opening tip to the closing horn.

Call me impressed early with his play

Ward was a real standout all weekend, making a big impact on both sides of the court. Defensively, he was just a nightmare for the other team. His length caused all sorts of problems—he was tipping passes, getting into passing lanes, contesting every shot, and just constantly making things uncomfortable for whoever he was guarding. You saw how locked in he was and had a presence that really threw opponents off their game. Offensively, he couldn’t miss from beyond the arc, his shot looked smooth and effortless, and once he got into a rhythm, it was basically automatic. Game after game, he brought that same energy and consistency. Whether it was spotting up or pulling up in rhythm, he just kept delivering. Overall it was a super well rounded performance. Ward was steady, reliable, and impactful all weekend long
