Expert Analysis
Michael Herrick | Prep Hoops Scout
This Bulldog is a player to watch this weekend because of the combination of size, skill, and versatility he brings to the floor. At 6’5”, he immediately creates matchup problems with his length and ability to impact the game from multiple spots on the court. Holscher is a true three-level scorer who can knock down shots from deep, attack the basket, and finish effectively with either hand. His smooth jump shot and deep shooting range make him a constant offensive threat, while his overall feel and versatility allow him to contribute in a variety of ways. Coming off a strong high school season that earned him All-Conference honors, he continues to trend upward as a well-rounded prospect. Holscher’s blend of size, scoring ability, and all-around skill makes him a difficult matchup and a player with a very bright future at Milbank.

Holscher is set to be a major difference-maker for the Bulldogs this winter. Already an experienced varsity player, he’s expected to stuff the stat sheet throughout the 2025–26 season. PHD is intrigued by his length and versatility, which allow him to impact the game in a variety of ways. Offensively, he’s a smooth jump shooter, finishes well at the rim, and runs the floor with purpose. On defense, his size and activity cause problems for opponents. With the ability to do a little bit of everything, Holscher is poised for a breakout soph campaign.

Lincoln has nice shot and can knock down the deep ball
Does a nice job of using his length to get in to passing lanes
Dunks in transition
I look for Holscher to become more aggressive on offense this year and start become more a threat on the floor.

I saw Holscher live towards the end of the season versus Webster Area, and he’s getting much stronger and filling out his frame with some mass. He’s a varsity rotation guy already and is known for his impressive vertical to go with his length. Would like to see him hit 6’7”. That would do much good for his stock.

Lincoln I’ve known for a couple of years now. He has elite bounce and athleticism for his age group. He’s also a stud jumper and runner in track & field, by my research. He’s with Sanford Sports Academy ND and was also at the Dakotas Freshman Showcase, where I thought he played fast, athletic, and with a great motor. He’s a lengthy and lean wing that can slash off the dribble and finish at the hoop with length and verticality. He simply jumps so well that he gets the ball over defensive hands in most matchups to finish cleanly off the glass at the rim. He’s also a capable but not elite three-point shooter. I thought he saw the floor really well at the Freshman Showcase and showed passing ability to zip around skip passes to open shooters. He was constantly driving and kicking and got the ball moving, even showing left hand passing skills. I also liked the way he defended off the ball and being available as a help defender. He contested shooters and was flying around with length. Crashed the offensive glass hard and was high-pointing the ball over his opponents.
Holscher offers some good upside, he just needs a little more development with his shooting consistency and tightening his handle, but he’s not too far off.

Lincoln is a long wing standing at 6’3”. He impacted games using his length to pull down rebounds for his team. He was a heavy lifter in the rebounding department on both ends. He’s much more than a rebounder though. He was good in transition and getting in the middle and heart of the defense with the ball in his hands. I also think his passing is an underrated part of his game. Showed he can make skilled passes. He can jump out of the gym and made a big impact with his length and bounce.
-Can play fast and handle the ball at speed.
– Went coast-to-coast for a layup finish.
