The state’s consummate point guard plays at a different level than most and he went about his business against a tough Homestead club. John put up 16 first half points, but it’s truly more than that. He always seems to be in the correct spot defensively, makes a timely steal, grabs that important rebound, or makes that crucial shootable pass to a teammate. John has always been known as the highest IQ player there could be, coming down the home stretch of his senior season it will be exciting to see if he and De Pere teammates can cap it off with a state title.
