-Mobley is a guard with good size that can succeed both on and off the ball because of his size, shooting ability, and floor vision. His ability to manipulate the defense with his eyes makes opponents commit to a rotation that frees up teammates for easy buckets in the zone that the defender just left open in the halfcourt. Mobley rebounds the ball well from the guard spot and can also muscle up to guard forwards or shadow defensive assignments on the perimeter. Mobley serves a crucial role without dominating the ball for a balanced Largo Lions team.

-Did a great job filling in the gaps for Largo as a malleable guard connector that can shoot, pass, rebound, and defend at a pretty high level. Mobley showed the vision and timing in the halfcourt with a great backdoor pocket pass to the cutter from the top of the key, also hitting a great crosscourt skip pass to the shooter on the left wing. Loved that when in doubt, he always looked at his passing options on the opposite side of the floor to keep the offense from becoming stagnant. Mobley collected a long rebound and hit 2 clutch FTs to put his team back up for good with a minute left in the contest.

-JR’s ability to get to his spots and create shots for himself and teammates in the halfcourt makes him a valuable asset for Largo this season. Loved his reads off the bounce to create high percentage looks at the rim, very smooth pull-up jump shooter that reads his defender’s hips well before choosing a side to attack. If he can get his hands on more loose balls to create extra opportunities for his team and can take care of the basketball when driving in traffic, I expect that he can be a nice backcourt scoring compliment for Ward .
