After a tremendous high school season, all eyes were on Vermaas this grassroots season. He certainly didn’t disappoint. In fact he more than proved himself as a player and a prospect. We could talk all day about his ability to take shots and make shots, but I want to go to the core of what I think makes him such a good basketball player. That’s the fact that he’s as gritty and as tough as they come. Vermaas is willing to lay it on the line to see his team win and to be great at what he does.

Vermaas is probably underrated as an overall athlete. He moves the ball well not letting it stick and has some solid handles. He’s an intense player that more than backs that intensity.
