Chad Graham | Prep Hoops Scout
A slashing wing, Hunter had his fingerprints all over the game versus Team Final . His crisp made for frequent visits into the lane and defenders couldn’t afford to play off him because he popped a three early in the first quarter. And he didn’t need anything drawn up for him because he consistently crashed the boards. In the third quarter in particular, he intercepted a pass and in two dribbles put two hands on the rim for one of multiple dunks. He got another two due to how quickly he covered ground on fastbreaks. 19p 7r 2s

Hunter is a very intriguing combo forward with high-level size and athleticism that immediately stands out. At this stage, he is most effective attacking the rim, using his physical tools and explosiveness to finish and create pressure on the defense. He has shown flashes of a developing perimeter skill set, which adds to his long-term upside. Defensively, he has the versatility to guard multiple positions, and with continued skill development, Hunter possesses as much potential as any prospect in the 2029 class.

The smooth lefty Hunter has a polished handle that allows him to get anywhere he wants on the court. At his size he can create a lot of mismatches with smaller guards allowing him to get to the rim. He is also a willing passer who can create for his teammates and with continue improvement from the perimeter. Hunter potential will be intriguing.

One of the most intriguing 2029 prospects in the region with a ceiling that seems limitless. Closing in on 6-foot-8 with plus length, Hunter is a smooth operator on the ball as he attacks from the perimeter. He uses his length in the form of long strides in transition where he glides by defenders to the cup. There are small technical topics with the shooting mechanics, but the results aren’t anything to complain about.
Don’t be fooled with his quiet approach. The southpaw wing will happily drive baseline and put you on a poster when he’s able to get a head of steam. High ceiling prospect here.
