Indy Heat 17u went 2-3 during pool play at the Peach Jam missing out on the weekend tournament portion. However, Smiley played well enough through the week to add an offer from Utah Tech. The 6’2″ left-handed guard shot 8-21 from three-point range across five games while averaging 8.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. Look for Smiley to continue to be highly sought after at the low and mid-major levels through his senior season at Valparaiso High School.

- Averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 5.9 assists as a junior
- Offers: Ohio, Valpo, Kent State, Mimai (OH), IU-Indianapolis, Bowling Green State, Buffalo, Southern Illinois
- Reason to Watch: Smiley has been one of our top breakout players this AAU season with colleges at all levels getting involved in this high caliber point guard. The lefty guard is one of the more dynamic lead guards we have in the state as he someone that can play the floor general role very well while also being a elite scorer as well.

It might seem counterintuitive to call a prospect that is already in the Top 10 of the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2025 Rankings a stock-riser, but Smiley has earned the distinction with his recent play this spring. Smiley has had some big games between EYBL Session III in Indianapolis and EYBL Session IV in Kansas City. The talented left-handed guard from Valparaiso High School had back-to-back games on Saturday for Indy Heat where he scored 27 and 23 points respectively while shooting 10-15 from three-point range. In the last couple of weeks, Smiley has added offers from Bowling Green, IUPUI, Kent State, and Miami (OH). Look for him to continue to be sought after by midwestern low and mid-major programs this summer.
