Expert Analysis
Tom Keller | Prep Hoops Scout
Stoll is a budding stretch four who can make a killing from behind the arc. He can play the two man game with guards and is a threat rolling to the rim for scoring chances. His length allows him to rebound and alter shots. He has some untapped potential.

Stoll, a member of the 17U HGSL squad, is a floor spacing forward out of Choate Rosemary Hall in Connecticut. A high academic prospect, he’s impressed this spring with his ability to make shots from the perimeter. At 6’8″, he has the ability to operate as an athletic stretch four next to a more traditional big man, or could even slide over to the wing in a jumbo lineup. He’s a good athlete that can attack the rim as a straight line driver and provides a different element offensively with his ability to pop into space out of ball screens. Defensively, he can guard three positions, has the length needed to be disruptive in passing lanes, and continues to play harder on the defensive glass.

was splendid defensively and had flashes of brilliance offensively. His versatility was the highlight part of his defense, as he was comfortable blocking shots down low in the paint using his height and length, while also defending the ball 94 feet on the entire court and having a deflection steal. Offensively, he was cutting without the ball for easy buckets, displaying soft touch floaters in the mid-range, and hitting a couple of catch-and-shoot three-pointers, while also looking really comfortable handling the ball in transition at his size.

is a developmental wing with functional ball skills. He has got good handles for his size and has a nice floater to score the ball. Stoll also loves to use the glass on his drives and showcases great touch. He also shoots off the catch effectively using a wide base and quick arms to get his shot off. In ball handling opportunities, he carries himself with a steady pace and nothing looks rushed or too big for him. Stoll loves to run in transition for dunks and also loves to chase down opponents on defense for blocks and rejections. While his body still needs to be filled out, Stoll could be very scary real soon and should be on everyone’s radar.
