About Sincere
Expert Analysis
Tom Keller | Prep Hoops Scout
Folk is effective making things happen on the offensive end of the floor when he has the ball in his hands. He is always in the paint and always keeps the defense on their toes when he is on the attack. He is a threat to make plays for himself and others. Folk has the ability to score the basketball in the blink of an eye. He was effective filling the lane in transition. Folk can have big plays eyes too much and that led to him turning the ball over on a few possessions.

Folk, out of East Catholic High School in Connecticut, checks in at #20 among the combo guards and #141 overall. Folk, now pushing 6’3″, is a long and rangy defender that does a great job of being disruptive on that end of the floor. He defends in space, makes plays in passing lanes, and does a great job of turning defense into transition offense. On the other end, he has the ability to operate as an on-ball decision maker or to slide off the ball where he’s a crafty, multi-level scorer. He could help a Division III program out from Day 1, but could also garner scholarship interest this winter.

Sincere understands the game beyond his years. A playmaking guard from the point who can not only run the team flawlessly but take over games with his scoring capabilities. He is strong with the ball getting into the paint and creating scoring chances for himself or others. Defensively he does a good job on the ball staying in front and turning the ball handler.

(pictured)The Molloy resurgence is going to be led by some youthful players. Sincere is one of them. A history of excellent guards. He can really handle the ball. Confident and very savvy with it. He has a strong frame which enables him to protect the ball. Gets into the lane and creates contract and finish or dish it to a teammate for an open three or a duck in. He is a ball hawk guarding.

(Pictured) In his playing time last season he was a lead guard and distributor of the ball. This event showed he is ready to become what we saw flashes of last year. Sincere has an excellent handle. He is poised in tight quaters as well as strong enough with the ball to get through defenders and get into the lane. Can knock down shots. Strong bodied he can defend either guard spot. Ready to take off this coming season. Another player to watch in the CHSAA with a high ceiling.

#5 Molloy guard tandem should be considered one of the best in the city this coming season. Sincere handles the ball and the point really well. He has excellent court vision and awareness. He can score the ball on his own but he is at his best when he is setting up teammates for easy buckets. He has a great feel and plays with good pace, surveying and then attacking with the ball.
