Oxendine initially stood out due to his ability to score the ball in every way, whether it was from inside, outside, or drawing fouls and getting to the line. He did, however, show off a lot of versatility as a combo guard, making plays for others, reading the defense to find the open man, and making some very tough passes through traffic.

11p 4r 1a 1 charge drawn vs Glen Burnie
-Oxendine came off the bench and had a huge personal 11-4 run to end the 1H on a strong note for his team. He rebounded a FT and hit the reverse layup before his opponent could react, came up with a big O board in traffic and got his opponent in the air to finish through the contact for an AND1 bucket, hit his matchup with an up fake step through into the inside hand lay, and had a nice assist over the top to his big in the short roll for a big-time dunk. His play off the bench gives his team a nice change of pace guard that guard up a few positions while filling up the stat sheet with his versatile play

While South River was sent back to Maryland with a tough setback at the hands of West Catholic (PA), Oxendine was still able to impress with his flair and versatility in the backcourt. A slender wing guard with intriguing athletic flashes, he showed a diverse skillset whether he was navigating traffic off the bounce, knocking down shots from the perimeter, or getting out in transition for athletic finishes. We’ll look to see more moving forward of how he fares within structure, as he found most of his success within more wide-open situations, but Oxendine certainly caught the eye with his aggressiveness and natural ability.
