He is also a capable ball-handler for his size who sees the floor exceptionally well with great passes and plays with a high IQ. He is also a great two-way rebounder where he can quickly get the basketball in transition as well as being unafraid to play with physicality. Look for Watterson to have a solid senior season as he has started to get interest from several college coaches.

Garrett Watterson, A 6-7 senior power forward who can score on all three levels on the offensive end as he is electric to watch in the front court. His versatility allows him to play a key role on the offensive end as well whether it’s out on the block or out on the wings. On the defensive end, Watterson plays with great length and is an above-average rebounder. His off-the-ball defense has continued to improve as he is rising quickly as one of the top-tier prospects to watch in the North Florida area this season.

The 6-7 wing plays with a ton of poise and control. His versatility really speaks volumes on his game whether it’s his shooting from beyond the arc or finishing around the rim. His defensive rebounding also continues to improve as we gear up for the summer and his senior season. Look for college coaches to begin hitting his radar in the near future.

The 6-7 rising senior is very versatile when he is out on the floor. He is a solid finisher around the rim, efficient rebounder and plays with a high IQ. On the defensive end he can guard multiple positions and also has the ability to hit the outside shot on the offensive end. College coaches should be attracted to Watterson as we gear up for the next live period in just a few weeks.

The 6-7 rising senior wing is a true versatile player who can play all five positions on the floor. Watterson has the strength of a forward, as well as the ball-handling skills of a guard. Watterson is a tenacious rebounder and has great length to have the ability to block shots on the defensive end as well. This past season for Bolles, Watterson averaged 8.7 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. So far this AAU season for SWFL Hoops, Watterson has shot from the perimeter with confidence and is knocking down 3-pointers at a near 35 percent rate.

The 6-7 junior forward played limited minutes, but when he was out on the floor he made the best of them. His size, frame and footwork in the paint was key for SWFL Hoops 2024. His ability to stretch the floor and develop an outside shot has gotten better as his junior season continues on the grassroots circuit. Look for Watterson’s recruitment to heat up as we enter the Live Period next month, as he is expected to gain mid-major D1 interest.
