Stumpf attended our freshman showcase last year and stood out with his perimeter shooting ability and basketball IQ. While both of those skills were on full display, Stumpf has grown about three inches and is starting to add to his frame physically. His older brother is a Michigan State commit on the gridiron and I figured it was only a matter of time until the younger Stumpf’s started to add some strength. What sets Stumpf apart from a lot of other young shooters is his fearlessness to fire away even with a hand in his face as he has the confidence that every shot is going in. I also thought Stumpf showed good effort on the defensive end of the court as he used his length and improved strength to shut off driving lanes for opposing guards. Talented guard prospect from central Ohio who also will be getting a spot in our next rankings update.

Stumpf has great confidence and quick release. He was a sniper today. He has an unlimited range. Shoots the ball off the dribble great. He is a fluid player who is shifty enough to create separation easily. He made scoring today look effortless and easy. He has a good handle on the ball. He just knows how to play the game the right way and at a high level.
