The younger Cochran brother stood out in the game I saw of his as his ability to knock down shots at his size and age is quite intriguing. While his older brother Andrew just committed to Marshall, Andrew’s recruitment will wait a little while as a 2029 who has plenty of time to develop physically. Cochran not only made shots on the perimeter but also had a nice reverse layup off a backdoor cut on the baseline. I expect Cochran to become a household name in central Ohio this winter with the exciting opportunity to play alongside his older brother at the varsity level.

There’s a handful of prospects with older brothers who played at a high level at the high school and college level from this 2029 class in Ohio and Cochran is one of those guys. His older brother Thomas is a Division I target and heading into his senior season while Andrew gears up for his sophomore season as he’ll have the opportunity to play a major role on varsity alongside his older brother. Andrew is a more perimeter based prospect at this stage of his development as he looks to handle the basketball and break you down by changing directions. Thomas has become an impact defender with his length and physical progression over the years and I’ll hope to see Andrew make similar improvements on that end of the court. Another top talent from central Ohio, you’ll be hearing about the Cochran name for not just one more winter, but three in Dublin.

Filling in and playing up two age groups, Cochran got to experience some 17 U physicality that should make returning to 15 U a breeze for the rest of the spring. Cochran had a couple rebounds in the paint and scored while moving without the ball, playing off some stud rising seniors to get open looks. Once Cochran continues to get stronger and mature he projects to be another top prospect for Dublin Coffman thanks to his impressive skill level considering his size and age. Long term name to track in central Ohio!
