Mgbako is a tough, physical guard who plays with a competitive edge on both ends of the floor. He consistently gets downhill and puts pressure on the rim with his strength and burst. Mgbako brings a nice pace to the offense and stays under control while creating scoring chances. As a shooter, he spaces the floor well and makes defenses pay when they help off him. Defensively, he can guard multiple positions and take on different matchups with confidence. He embraces contact, fights through screens, and stays active in the gaps.
