Davis started out Wednesday’s game with four straight three pointers for Brooks in the first dozen possessions of the game. The lefty does a great job coming off screens and has a pretty quick trigger once he gets the rock. He also had a really nice step back move, showcasing the ability to get his shot off with the ball in his hands. Other than his shooting, Davis is a steadying force for Brooks and never tries to do too much offensively. Defensively, he’s active with his hands and slides his feet well.

Davis, a crafty scoring guard, had a terrific junior season at Brooks. A lefty with some serious juice off the bounce, Davis is equally impressive playing as a creator or a scorer. He shows nice burst, particularly in tight spaces, and makes some high level passes in ball screens. His vision is probably an under-rated aspect of his game, but he’s one of the better passers in this class. He can score at all three levels; right now he’s best when creating space to get into his jumper on the perimeter. Defensively, he hounds opposing ball-handlers; he can guard for 94 feet, has terrific hands while guarding the ball, and seems to have endless energy on that end of the floor.

the southpaw guard is mature years above his age. He can be the teams leading scorer, or lead the team in assists. He has great court vision, and makes players around him better. He is a three level scorer, and can shoot, and attack down hill. It’s a really good asset when a team has a multi dimensional player. Emerson does what’s best for the team, what is best in the flow of the game. Keep an eye on Emerson in his sophomore season.
