Eli turned in a great performance at Sunday’s Prospect Camp. The senior guard is still unsigned and did not shy away from attacking opponents all day. One thing I really like about his game is that he always seems to be under control when he has the ball in his hands and he does not waste dribbles when making a move on a defender. He scored from all three levels and made it look easy when creating shots for himself off the bounce. He also impressed me with the way he could avoid being blocked by defenders when he was in the paint. Ocharo consistently averaged around 3-4 baskets made per game this season for Apple Valley.

Eli was fun to watch with the ball in his hands on Sunday. He plays at his own pace and does not let his opponents speed him up or slow him down. He impressed me when getting to his spots and pulling up with some jump shots off the dribble. He moves very well on his feet defensively as well, playing some impressive on-ball defense. Ocharo will likely be the top scoring option for Apple Valley this upcoming season, as he will lead an inexperienced Eagle squad. He suited up for a stacked Minnesota Heat Pratt team this past spring and summer during AAU.

Eli is the top returning scorer for Apple Valley, and the 2023 guard looks ready for a solid senior season. He’s a composed player on the ball who never really looked sped up even when looking to attack the basket. Does a great job of playing off two feet in the paint allowing him to pivot and remain under control so that he has options to finish or pass in a variety of ways. Showcased a nice turnaround jumper where he got his defender leaning one way before spinning back in the opposite direction to shoot from about 8-10 feet. When on the perimeter he always had his hands and feet set allowing him to catch and shoot all in one smooth motion.
