Have watched Donovan play the last three weeks. Donovan is an intriguing prospect. Adept at scoring off screens, off the dribble and handoffs, proving efficient both going to and away from his shooting hand which is a credit to his excellent shot preparation, polished footwork, and balance.  With that continue footwork which will allow him to get into his shot quickly demonstrating sound mechanics and fluidity. It’s a lot to like with his long-range potential Donovan has the potential to be a go to scorer with more strength and confidence. Looked comfortable stroking a deep 3.

-Ford gave the Lions a dynamic athlete that plays really hard at both ends to force the action. A really explosive leaper, Ford impacted the game above the rim both on the glass and as a shot-blocker throughout the contest. Love that Ford is beginning to harness his athleticism to develop into a defender that can lock down guards but also handle wing scorers because of his physical style of play. Ford is a consistent jumpshot away from being a really difficult cover in the halfcourt as a dynamic slasher that can get to the rim in two dribbles or less on pretty much any defender that you put in front of him.

Donovan has excited scouts in the area with his high motor and effectiveness on the court. He has a smooth game and likes to get out in the open floor. He has a nice speed to his game already as a rising sophomore. Ford made some nice plays his freshmen season and will look to take on a larger role for Carroll as a complimentary wing. His decision-making in the halfcourt is impressive as he can make reads going downhill and in the pick-and-roll. The volume that Donovan shoots the 3 and defends the ball will be crucial this season as the backcourt will see plenty of shots from the leading guards. Ford will have a chance to establish a critical role in that backcourt heading into his second season.
