Battie’s length and ability to elevate allowed him to shoot over defenders, making him a consistent scoring and dunking threat in the low post. Impressively active on the glass, he consistently tracked down defensive rebounds. His intensity and work ethic down low went unmatched, seemingly uncontainable as he relentlessly outworked his opponents.

2024 6’8 Dillon Battie Dillon Battie 6'8" | PF Lancaster | 2024 State #146 Nation TX is known for his dominance in the the paint but it’s not until you actually see him in person do you feel the full effect of his impact. He was excellent Friday night in a big win over Frisco Lonestar but was huge in Saturday’s win over The Colony to send Lancaster to the state tournament. He finished with 22 points and a ton of boards and at one point was the only offense Lancaster could produce. He’s also a great shot blocker and impacts the game on the defensive side crucially. He’ll have to be big for this Lancaster team on both sides in the state tournament next weekend.

His low crossover move allowed him to blow by defenders and attack the hoop. When Dillon had his back to the basket, his footwork enabled him to finish with a reverse layup or a powerful two-handed slam through a drop step. Battie’s relentless motor kept him very active, always seeking opportunities to gain possession in 50/50 situations. His versatility on both offense and defense proved to be a testament to why he is so highly sought after by recruiters.

Insane vertical that results in multiple dunks a game. Uses size to advantage around the rim and is also a great rim protector. Can beat defenders off the dribble but can also effectively shoot the ball from three.

I expect a break out summer from Dillon. What stands out immediately watching him play is his jumping ability. He has dunk everything mindset that can take him far. Surprisingly Battie’s game does not consist of strictly dunks. He can shoot the ball out to range and also shoot off the dribble. Furthermore he utilizes his strength and positioning very well to get to his jump hook in the low post. BUT, does Dillon have the will to dominate? I would like to see him expand his game from a ten points, ten rebounds double double guy to a twenty points twenty rebounds guys. If he approaches this summers Grassroots circuit  looking to achieve these type numbers every game he could see his stock rise sky high.
