One of the more improved players in the state this summer, Rinehard has taken massive leaps since the end of his junior season and projects as a breakout player in the GWOC this winter. It always takes bigs longer to impact the game at the varsity level and Rinehard is putting the pieces together to have a solid senior season. His breakout performance came at the Bleacher Prospect showcase where he was one of the top performers at the camp. Expect small college programs to make Rinehard a priority because kids 6’9 and taller are hard to find at the Division III level.

One of the tallest players at the event, I had a lot of college coaches asking me about players with size. I’m not sure any big helped his stock more than Rinehard with his ability to score in the paint off contested catches. Obviously his height is a big advantage in the paint but Rinehard has shown clear improvement with his assertiveness in the paint and offensive skill. Big time stock riser who gained interest on Friday.

I noticed significant improvement with Rinehard since the last time I watched him play in the fall of 2024 as he prepared for his junior season. One of the tallest players in Ohio, Rinehard had a couple easy layups where he literally shot right over the defense. Playing with more confidence and slowly adding strength on his frame, Rinehard is on the right track to potentially making an impact at the varsity level this winter. His height alone will make him interesting to some small college programs if he’s interested in playing at the college level.

A second straight week where Rinehard’s size was a deciding factor in a game. Few teams could keep him off the glass where his massive height advantage was crucial for his team. I was once again impressed with a couple quick post moves that he had, his most impressive was a spin off a defender to score. In the semifinal game Rinehard also had a putback layup just before the halftime buzzer to give his team some momentum. A key player for the championship winning ‘redhawks’ squad.

One of the tallest players in the fall league, Rinehard gets after the offensive glass. At his size the opposing teams need to box him out and there were a few times where he simply reached over shorter opposition players to snatch rebounds. Starting to show some development as a post player, Rinehard’s best move was a spin and finish with his back behind the basket. If he can continue to show growth as a back to the basket scorer, he could become valuable at the varsity level as a senior.
