Phillips is an intriguing combo guard who’s shown he can fill it up from anywhere on the court and can run the show at the lead guard spot as a distributor. He was pivotal in setting the tone with his fundamentally-sound teammates as they opened things up with an 81-44 victory behind 13 made 3-pointers as a team. Phillips was my favorite shooter at the camp all Sunday long, as he absolutely torched the nets all three games. He has a smooth, quick release that allows him to get his shot off with little space, and can do it quickly in transition or off the dribble. When he’s feeling it he really gets hot, with little the defense can do to throw him off of his rhythm. He should be in line for a big year at Cardinal Gibbons.

Phillips was a Gamechanger: Dynamic Guard for a reason on Team 10 at the PH North Carolina Top 250 Expo. He was efficient when attacking the basket and shooting the ball, firing from all cylinders on the perimeter and in the midrange, showing off an impressive shot-making ability. He showed off his combo guard skills by getting others involved and defending on the opposite end with presence as well. He’s a prospect going forward to keep track of out of Cardinal Gibbons High in the 2025 class.

Phillips was another prospect at the Top 250 Expo who made his mark as a dynamic guard gamechanger and solidified himself a spot in the next rankings update with his play. He knocked down shots on the perimeter with range and consistency no matter who was in front of him and he showed that when pressured, he could operate off the bounce and make things happen as a scorer and passer. He’s a strong-framed guard at 6-foot who should be fun to track over the next few seasons out of Cardinal Gibbons High.
