Lewis was a problem for defenders at The Expo, especially when he got downhill and started using his leverage to create advantages. He finished through contact, showed a strong feel for getting his body between defenders and the ball and was dangerous in transition. The three ball was a major weapon as well, giving him another way to punish defenses. Lewis brought the type of offensive pressure and intensity that forced teams to adjust, and his ability to score in multiple ways made him one of the tougher matchups we saw at The Expo

Lewis really impressed us this summer and made his presence felt from the very first tournament we saw him at. He plays with a chip on his shoulder, brings an athletic edge and is constantly in your face on both ends of the floor. Offensively he can heat up in a hurry and put points on the board in bunches, making him a dangerous matchup when he gets rolling. We fully expect Lewis to be a player on the rise, and The Expo is the perfect stage for him to make that jump. This is an opportunity to put his talent, energy and scoring ability on full display and show everyone exactly what he brings to the floor

Daeshaun was the type of guard Box State needed playing winning basketball. He made smart decisions with the ball while keeping his teammates involved and the offense flowing. When needed he was aggressive attacking from the wing and made the defense pay.

Lewis was a surprise standout who played with a fearless mentality all tournament long. No shot seemed to faze him, as he confidently let it fly from deep with impressive range. His quick jumper made it tough for defenders to contest, especially with how fast he gets it off. Beyond his shooting he showed his athleticism and speed, attacking when defenders closed out too hard. He brought great energy and confidence every time he stepped on the floor, making a noticeable impact. Lewis proved he’s a name to watch with his ability to score and play without hesitation
