Madera is a prospect we believe could gain quality minutes at Frederick this season with the way he operates around the basket. What caught our attention over the summer was how comfortable he looked taking over the paint and creating scoring opportunities without needing much space. He knows how to use his strength, has polished footwork and does a great job putting himself in position to finish. There is a toughness and patience to his game that makes him difficult to handle inside. We really like his game and think Madera has the tools to become a nice offensive weapon this season

Madera was a steady force inside all tournament, making his impact felt with strong interior play and smart positioning. He established himself early down low, sealing defenders and creating high percentage looks around the basket. His footwork and awareness stood out, always finding the right spots to score and make himself available. Madera played with confidence on the block, finishing through contact and staying composed in traffic. On top of that his presence in the paint helped control the tempo, giving his team a reliable option every trip down. A true interior scorer who understands how to use positioning and strength to his advantage
