Expert Analysis
Bobby Lopez | Prep Hoops Scout
Wittler continues to trend upward, and it’s getting harder to ignore how much control he has over the game. He played with a steady confidence, never rushed and always making the right reads. His consistency stood out and possession after possession he delivered. Wittler’s ability to drive puts constant pressure on the defense, and he finishes strong when he gets to the rim. As a playmaker he keeps teammates involved and creates quality looks with smart decisions. Defensively he competes and stays engaged, making things difficult on opposing guards. Wittler isn’t just improving but he’s becoming a player his team can rely on to set the tone

Wittler was a major reason the Titans went undefeated on the weekend. He’s a guard who controls the game as a true floor general. He dictated pace, operated efficiently in the pick-and-roll, and made quick, decisive reads that kept the defense guessing. Wittler is dangerous with the ball in his hands, and teammates feed off of that. He gets to his spots and scores without forcing too much. He takes care of the ball, breaks defenders down, and consistently creates offense. Wittler is a poised leader who continues to build momentum after a solid sophomore season, and I think this Titans team is up for a huge summer showing.

Caleb is a sophomore who jumped onto the scene this season and hasn’t looked back. To begin the new year he put up games of 25 and 27 points in victories to set the tone. He’s a reliable scorer who is an assertive sophomore and is a top 10 scorer in the class. The offense has taken a bit of a dip to close out January, but he’s found other ways to impact th game. He’s stepped into a facilitator role, as he finds the open man, keeps the ball popping, and feeds teammates. He also has proven to be one of the better rebounding guards in the class. He’s a stat sheet stuffer who has his team playing excellent ball right now. Wittler has been a force this season.

Wittler has been the biggest surprise to begin the year in the 2028 class. He’s the 2nd leading scorer out of all 2028s at 20.9 points a game and has put up double digits in each game. He’s a confident young guard who is a sniper from deep, and he can create for himself off the dribble and for teammates. Wittler is shooting over 50% from deep on 6.2 attempts a game. He’s leading the team in scoring, averaging 2.4 steals a game and turning those into scoring opportunities as well. Wittler is a prospect who we certainly hope to see more of but from what we’ve seen to start the year, we feel confident in having him make the biggest rise in the rankings.

Wittler is making a clear statement through seven games for Frederick, averaging 20.3 points and 3.9 rebounds, and his production is impossible to ignore. He scores at all three levels and attacks the rack with purpose, knocks down the three and uses his handle to create off the drive. Wittler plays with toughness and physicality, embracing contact and finishing strong. His confidence and versatility make him a constant problem for defenders, as he can create his own shot or punish defensive mistakes. With his scoring consistency and competitive edge, Wittler has established himself as one of the most impactful offensive players early in the season

Wittler impressed with his elite speed and transition play. His explosive first step allowed him to blow past defenders and collapse defenses, where he then facilitated kick outs to open shooters. On defense, his quickness enabled him to press full court and stifle opposing guards.
