Chris did a great job of keeping his team in it with #1 ranked Juneau for most of the game. He’s so crafty around the basket, timing his pick ups perfectly to catch defenders off guard and get them in the air early before he simply steps around to finish. Even against a Juneau team that is filled with length and athleticism, it was the 6′ Kenesie often coming out with two points when he got into the lane. Defensively he’s rock solid on the ball, and is always going to be the first player on the floor fighting for a loose ball.

Toughness personified. There isn’t a coach in Wisconsin who wouldn’t want Kenesie on his side. He gets it done with grit, physical strength, stellar basketball instincts and a very strong desire to post a victory. In a recent game against Dominican, Kenesie made 9-of-11 shots from the floor and 10-of-12 from the foul line for 28 points. He also had five rebounds, five assists and five steals to lead St. Joseph to a 77-73 road win. He did all that while guarding one of the state’s top juniors in Dominican’s Zeak Jones Zeak Jones 6'4" | SG Dominican | 2027 State WI . For the season, Kenesie is averaging 23.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists while helping the Lancers to an 8-3 record against a very strong list of opponents.

Need somebody to handle the ball against pressure? Kenesie is your guy. Need somebody to use his craftiness, strength and winning attitude to score in the lane over bigger defenders? Kenesie can do that. Need a lockdown perimeter defender or a guy who can guard bigger players? Kenesie can accomplish that as well. His toughness and versatility were on full display in the Lancers’ one-point loss to Northridge Prep. Kenesie, who earlier this season had a 44-point game, finished with 25 points and numerous winning players while helping his team rally from a 15-point halftime deficit.

When Kenesie’s older brother, Eric, graduated last spring, most figured Kenosha St. Joseph would struggle to find another point guard who could efficiently run an offense. Christopher Kenesie Christopher Kenesie 6'0" | CG Kenosha St. Joseph | 2027 State WI had played the shooting guard spot as a freshman and really had little to no experience at the varsity level running a team. But it’s almost like St. Joseph didn’t skip a beat when the baton was handed off from one Kenesie brother to another. Christopher has taken a leadership role as the Lancers’ starting point guard and has been terrific in the first half of the 2024-25 season, averaging 20.2 points and 3.1 rebounds for the 6-6 Lancers. His turnaround three-pointer at the buzzer gave his team a 60-57 win over visiting Dominican on Tuesday.

Arguably the two best teams in Kenosha County faced off on Tuesday night, and Chris made sure his team came out with the win against Westosha Central. Similar to his older brother Eric, Chris doesn’t do anything too flashy, and just produces at an efficient level every time he’s on the floor. He has some strength that helps him finish through contact inside, and is capable of getting to the rim off the drive or with some hard cuts off the ball. Had a seven point run in about thirty seconds late in the first half that put his team away for good, as he converted a lay-up over a defender, hit two technical foul FT’s, and then drained a three at the buzzer.
