McCray runs the main point responsibilities for team DFTP Elite. I watched his team play in their late evening Friday contest where he showcased the ability to score from 3 levels while possessing a deceptively smooth and quick handle. The Kenosha St. Joseph guard can get into rhythm quickly going off the bounce and get to his spots with a quick first step.  His finishing game around the rim shows consistent and efficient touch vs more size. On the defensive side of things, McCray uses that same energy mentality to anticipate the next pass and pressure the ball. His 2-way skills will continue to provide value as a scoring point guard.

McCray played almost exclusively on the JV1 squad as a freshman at Kenosha St. Joseph. But he’s ready to make a big contribution to the Lancers’ varsity team in 2025-26. An outstanding long-distance shooter, McCray made his presence felt for the Lancers in Burlington. In a close victory over Cambridge, McCray went for 17 points and made three three-point shots. He scored nine of his points in the second half to help St. Joseph hold off a strong Cambridge squad. McCray and Reymundo Garibay Reymundo Garibay 6'0" | CG/PG Kenosha St. Joseph | 2028 State WI will play vital roles in the Lancers’ backcourt along with returning standouts Christopher Kenesie Christopher Kenesie 6'0" | CG Kenosha St. Joseph | 2027 State WI , the top returning scorer for St. Joseph at 18.6 ppg, and Tomas Baez Tomas Baez 5'11" | PG Kenosha St. Joseph | 2026 State WI , another returning starter who contributed 11.9 ppg.

Eric was relentless attacking the basket, and had no fear going up against taller defenders at the rim. He has a quick first step and tight handle that allows him to get by his initial defender and then navigate through tight areas. Part of a promising freshman class at Kenosha St. Joseph.
